The evening begins with a screening of the beloved 1975 comedy Let’s Do It Again, directed by and starring Sidney Poitier, alongside Bill Cosby and Denise Nicholas. This classic film captures the humor, creativity, and cultural significance of an unforgettable era in Black cinema.
Following the screening, Denise Nicholas will join Gary Watson, filmmaker, television producer, and cultural commentator, for an engaging conversation exploring her remarkable journey through Hollywood, her experiences as an artist and activist, and the personal stories that shaped her acclaimed memoir, Finding Home.
Through candid reflections and meaningful storytelling, audiences will gain insight into the woman behind the memorable performances and the experiences that have influenced her life, career, and writing.
The evening concludes with a special book signing with Denise Nicholas, offering guests an opportunity to connect with the author and celebrate her literary work.
